Dear Prophecykey and hubbytubby, Its obvious both of you are one in the same and just wanted to lower Perfect Image Cleaners' ratings:( Since folks usually do not take the time to go back and change previous reviews, I think its fair that we get to tell our side of the story. First we did misplace his shirts. As soon as we realized that we made a mistake I called him personally to apologize and gave him the order as well as $30 credit for him to use in the future, which he has used and have returned for additional services. When he came in on a Saturday there was no way for us to tell that there was a mix up as he dropped off 3 shirts and picked up 3 shirts. He was adamant that the shirts were not his and being 6 hours out of town, I asked him if we could investigate this further and get back to him. His response was no and that something be done right then and there. I told him there were steps we needed to take to make sure where the mix up happened, again he declined and demanded something be done. After about 45 minutes of trying to reason with him I did get upset with him as he said he was taking the shirts (which did not belong to him as collateral). I explained to him that we have surveillance video of what he dropped off and I as an owner of a business for 15 years I would not cheat anyone out of a couple of shirts. I would replace his shirts if we could not locate them. He even went as far as to call the sheriff who thought this was so silly over a few shirts and relayed to him that the owner would take care of the matter first thing Monday morning when I got back into town. Monday morning I looked at the surveillance video and realized that indeed we were at fault and called him first thing and profusely apologized for the situation and issued him credit for his future use as well as returned his garments. His reply was if it was that easy why couldn't the counter person take care of it at the time. Well with thousands of garments we have, there are steps that need to be taken and the process could take 10 minutes or days depending on the situation. Mistakes happen at any business and we are one of those that take full responsibility for items that are in our care as well as not ashamed to apologize when the mistake was done by us. But please don't be a customer who demands this and that and give a business reasonable time to rectify the situation. The shirts were literally found 10 minutes after he left. Had he not stayed there for nearly 45 minutes and even called the sheriff, the employee could have tried to locate them without PRESSURE. I realize none of this would have happened had we not made the mistake in the first place, but it sure could have been more pleasant if the customer would have treated the counter person with some respect. Just because they work in customer service does not mean they should be treated like dirt as they are also human beings.
